Tilt/Shift Photography + Faking it Tutorial
Tilt/Shift Photography refers to a technique in creating a photograph which shows the full scale subject as a miniature. This effect is achieved by using a special lens which can tilt/shift to give us a rare perspective angle.

Now,for the ones who just cant afford a Tilt Shift Lens. You can achieve this in photoshop.Choose an aerial shot, which is appropriate to create a convincing tilt shift.Select the bottom and top parts of the image.Give it a feather of 30 or above.Apply a lens blur. Now bring in the contrast levels a bit high and increase the saturation of the image.Give a bit more of sharpness. You are almost there :)
Check out the sample i worked on.
Now the trick here is to fake the shallow depth of field as on a Macro shot to give an impression that we are seeing a miniature.
